English Theatre – A Tradition

On 19th September we watched the  English theatre play  “Sherlock Holmes – The Perfect Crime“ in the city hall of Ludwigslust. Three gentlemen performed a theatre play about Sherlock Holmes. All roles were played by them, but it seemed to us as there were more actors.

The play was about the common father of Sir Henry and his sister being murdered. Dr. Watson investigated the case and also asked the butler. In the middle of the play they wanted to reenact the murder situation and brought two students to the stage. They did very well. The murder situation was with Sir Henry being murdered. Later his sister was killed, too. Watson and Holmes went to the heir in Italy. In the end it turned out that the heir was actually the butler, who had murdered all the three of the family to get possession.

Overall, we found the theatre performance very good and we laughed a lot about the costumes, especially about the beard of Sir Henry.
